A new Rouge & Bleu School opens in Mantes-la-Jolie!

On 12th April, the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation and its partners, the Yvelines department, the City of Mantes-la-Jolie, and the Grand Paris Seine & Oise urban community officially opened the second Rouge & Bleu School in Mantes-la-Jolie!

Founded just under 18 years ago, the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation provides support to youngsters when they are at their most vulnerable, through a variety of educational and sporting programmes.

But, what is a Rouge & Bleu School? Children aged 7 to 11 (Year 3/2nd Grade to Year 6/5th Grade) come to this after-school club every day to take part in educational and sporting activities. The goal is to boost the children’s desire to learn and help them to flourish by placing sport at the heart of the approach. Since the first Rouge & Bleu School was opened in 2016, in the 19th arrondissement in Paris, nearly 1,500 children have benefitted from this original concept, designed and run by the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation.

In Mantes-la-Jolie, more than 1,000 children from schools in the Val Fourré neighbourhood will be welcomed into the facilities designed especially for this new Rouge & Bleu School!

In addition to Paris and Mantes-la-Jolie, the Club’s future Training Center in Poissy is set to house the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation’s third Rouge & Bleu School.
